Linda Maria Straka was born with the Viennese string sound, her father Georg Straka solo double bass player of the Vienna Philharmonic and her grandfather Prof. Anton Straka, section leader of the primary group of the Vienna Philharmonic, as well as her violin professor since the age of 5. She has given concerts several times in the Wiener Musikverein under the direction of well-known conductors such as Nazanin Aghakhani, Remy Ballot and Guido Mancusi, conductor of the Vienna Volksoper. As a soloist, she played with the Camerata Prima la musica Vienna Ensemble, with which she also conducted a premiere of Herbert Willi as concertmaster. With her violin quartet, Linda Straka worked with Aleksey Igudesman, who composed two works for this quartet. Another composition by Andreas Wykydal written for the violin quartet was premiered in 2021 by Linda Straka as the first violinist with her violin quartet. She is a member of the Wiener Klangkollektiv Orchestra and the Webern Chamber Philharmonic. She attended master classes with David Frühwirth, Miriam Tschopp, Maighréad McCrann, Prof. Michael Frischenschlager and Evgenia Epshtein, among others. She completed the preparatory course at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna before beginning her concert studies in autumn 2019. She studied with Prof. Gerald Schubert, section leader of the 2nd violins of the Vienna Philharmonic, and is currently studying violin in the violin class of Prof. Albena Danailova, concertmaster of the Vienna Philharmonic
